Summer Review

These are all acrylics. I did them in the summer of 2005 in Windsor.
The LA Woman/Sky was inspired by a tower wih an angel on it in Toronto and the LA Woman album cover by The Doors. Like a Waterfall/Water was inspired by Niagra falls, and A Forest/Earth was inspired by Point Pelee in southernmost Ontario.

Kokopell' Mana--The Assassin Fly Girl

Thsi painting is based on Kokopell' Mana, the Assassin Fly Girl. She is a female counterpart to Kokpelli. In the Hopi tradition, Kokpelli is a runner Kachina, the Assasin Fly. Kokopell' Mana is one of the few female runners. When she catches her opponent she simulates copulation. She is one of the craziest and most erotic of the kachinas.
Expect to see more of her in the future.....
Acrylic on canvas, Windsor but inspired by Tucson.

Kokopelli Madness

I was having a hard time finding inspiration in Windsor. So my good ole standby Kokpelli came to the rescue to get me started....

I hope there will be more soon...

My studio in the basement of the house in Windsor...
Listened to a lot of CCR down there. And everytime I had the radio I always seemed to hear that Kelly Clarkson song-'Behind Hazel Eyes'. It became our theme song in Windsor, never heard it anywhere else...
